Your first visit to Sugar Creek Orthodontics is a free consultation that usually takes 30 minutes to an hour. Dr. Ulrich examines your teeth and bite, takes any needed X-rays or digital scans, explains your options, and reviews cost and financing, all with no referral required.

The first step toward a healthier smile is easier than you might think, and it is free. Your first visit is all about getting to know you, understanding your goals, and giving you a clear picture of your options, with no pressure and no obligation. Here is exactly what to expect when you come to see us.

A Warm Welcome and a Conversation

We start by getting to know you: what brought you in, what you would like to change about your smile, and any concerns you have. This is your time to ask questions, and we encourage it. There is no such thing as a silly question here.

A Thorough Examination

Dr. Ulrich will examine your teeth, jaws, and bite to understand exactly what is going on. When it helps build a complete picture, we may take digital X-rays, a quick digital scan of your teeth, and photographs. Together these let us plan treatment precisely, with no messy molds.

Your Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on the exam, Dr. Ulrich will explain what she sees and walk you through your treatment options in plain language, whether that is braces, clear aligners for adults, or simply monitoring your child’s growth through our free Grow Up Smiling program. You will leave knowing what treatment would involve and how long it might take.

Cost and Financing, Up Front

Before you decide anything, we review the cost of treatment and your options for paying, including our in-house, no-interest financing and how your insurance can help. You will have the full picture, with no surprises.

What to Bring

Please bring your insurance information, and for a child, a parent or guardian. If your family dentist shared any records or X-rays, those are helpful too, but not required.
